As we can tell from the picture, it seems as though Marine Fleet Admiral Sengoku will be joining us at Global to become the 4th Legendary Recruit. Along Sengoku comes Fossa, Curiel, Thatch, Rakuyo, and Namur! Let me break them down for you.
Sengoku the Buddha
Psychic Fighter/Knowledge
Captain Effect:
Reduces cooldown of all specials by 2 turns at the start of the fight, boosts ATK of characters with cost 20 or less by 3x
Special Attribute:
Deals random PSY damage to all enemies, boosts ATK by 1.5x for 1 turn
HP: 3,429
Attack: 1,338
RCV: 389
EXP: 5,000,000
Cost: 55
Note: With Sengoku being captains, units with good stats and low unit cost will deal tons of damage (Smoker, Nico Robin, Shanks, Arlong, and etc... just to name a few)! Sengoku might not be appealing as Whitebeard, Rayleigh, or Boa Hancock, but he is ACTUALLY as strong as the rest when utilized the right way!

Fossa the Flaming Blade Strength Slasher Captain Effect: Boosts ATK of STR characters by 2x, boosts damage of STR specials by 2x Special Attribute: Boosts ATK of STR characters by 1.5x for 1 turn, deals 15x character's ATK in STR damage to all enemies HP: 2.454 Attack: 1,388 RCV: 228 EXP: 4,000,000 Cost: 28 Note: Being able to boost ATK of STR and Special of STR character by 2, I can see him doing well with Monster Chopper (or anything that deals random damage... maybe Blackbeard/Whitebeard too?) This has to be tested before we know it's true power. Nevertheless, high stats as Slasher/STR team! | Curiel the Heavy Weapon Specialist Knowledge Shooter Captain Effect: Boosts ATK of Shooter characters by 2x and their RCV by 1.5x Special Attribute: Changes the orbs in the middle row into either STR or DEX orbs, the orbs in the lower row into either PSY or INT orbs, freely switch orbs between slots once HP: 2.470 Attack: 1,359 RCV: 252 EXP: 4,000,000 Cost: 28 Note: Though he has a decent stats, he will only work well with INT teams until Zephyr is released! As an orb manipulator and orb changer, he is a valuable member on a rainbow team as long as all characters are positioned according to his special. | Thatch of the Twin Blade Speed Slasher Captain Effect: Boosts ATK of QCK characters by 3x if HP is above 99% at the start of the turn Special Attribute: Boosts chances of getting QCK orbs for 3 turns HP: 2.505 Attack: 1,359 RCV: 252 EXP: 4,000,000 Cost: 28 Note: Doesn't have the best Captain effect and not sure if the chance of getting QCK orbs for 3 turns make him viable, but it's useful if you're lucky. |
Rakuyo of the Morning Star Psychic Striker Captain Effect: Reduces cooldown of all specials by 3 turns at the start of the fight, boosts ATK of Striker characters by 2x Special Attribute: Changes own orb and the captain's orb into PSY HP: 2.001 Attack: 1,320 RCV: 337 EXP: 4,000,000 Cost: 28 Note: A good sub for a PSY team, but not the best Captain (Garp is way better than him... IMO at least) Nothing too special. | One-Shot Namur Technique Fighter Captain Effect: Boosts ATK of Fighter characters by 2x and their HP by 1.5x Special Attribute: Boosts ATK of Fighter characters by 1.5x for 1 turn, deals 25x character's ATK in DEX damage to one enemy HP: 2,398 Attack: 1,303 RCV: 262 EXP: 4,000,000 Cost: 28 Note: A good captain that has Damage and Health with a good special as well! A valuable teammate with High Stats. Not much can be said about him. |
